In the X-Men trilogy, most members of the brotherhood of mutants, a symbol tattooed on the skin,

It is used in the comics, but in the film as a signal band of a fringe group of huge underground mutant called Omegas. Omega's in the film are the equivalent of the Morlocks in the comics, even though almost none of the members are shown in the film Morlocks in comics, with the exception of Callisto (Arclight really massacred tens Morlocks in comics, then j 'I thought it was strange, it was a / Omega Morlock) in the film. The Morlocks have no badges in cartoons, so I'm pretty sure the tattoos are made for the film if it were an obscure reference or something I do not know.
